Covid opened up a few more hours in the week so it was time to start a long-needed backyard project. 2 buildings framing a new deck extending from the house through an intimate bosque of 4 linden trees. Clad in Shou Sugi Ban with site-built clerestory windows in the gables and glass overhead doors. One for fitness and the other for creative endeavors.

One of the curses of being an architect forbids buying a new home and leaving it alone. 820 Rockwell Lane was a total renovation and while we hired a general contractor, I picked off the pieces of work that I wanted to do and fit them into nights and weekends.
